15th Annual JAMESVILLE PARADE
11:00 am on Saturday, May 29th, 2010
The 15th Annual Jamesville Memorial Day Parade will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11am in the Hamlet of Jamesville! Come to the Parade and watch the Jamesville Fire Department Fire Trucks, the Jamesville Firefighters and Auxiliary Members, along with Grand Marshall Marvin Bodley and the Syracuse Kiltie Band marching in the Parade!
Start the day with a great Pancake Breakfast at the Jamesville Community Church 8am to 10:15am!
Walk to the Parade Ceremony at the Jamesville Elementary School following the parade, with Keynote Speaker State Assemblywoman Joan Christensen and Memorial Day reflection and National Anthem.
After the Parade Ceremony, there will be a Memorial Service at the Jamesville-Walnut Grove Cemetery and dedication of the White Cottage in memory of Mary Jane Garlow. This service is open to anyone who would like to participate. The cemetery is located past Taylor Rd on 173.
At 12:30, the Jamesville Fire Department will host its annual Memorial Day Picnic and Open House at the new firehouse on Route 173 (up the hill). The Fire Department and Auxiliary will be offering hamburgers, hot dogs, salt potatoes, salads and drinks for refreshments. There will be live entertainment (including the Syracuse Kiltie Band), family fun and lots of food for everyone!
This is a wonderful day full of fun family events! Please join us and enjoy yourselves!
